At the Bengal Delta Conference held on 24-25 July 2026 in Bangladesh, organised by the Dacca Institute of Research and Analytics, Muragala’s Harindra B. Dassanayake made a paper presentation on “Opposition Politics in Post-Aragalaya Sri Lanka”.
He also shared his perspectives on strengthening regional dialogue and cooperation on a panel session “ASEAN and the Indo-Pacific: Navigating Regional Challenges and Pathways to a Stable and Prosperous Future”, alongside panelists Dr. Syed Azman Syed Ahmad Nawawi Chief Executive Officer (CEO), International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies, and Abdulla Jihad Former Vice-President, The Maldives. The panel was chaired by Dr. Lailufar Yasmin, Professor, Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka.
On 23 July 2026, an informal discussion with Master’s students from the Department of International Relations, University of Dhaka was held on the ‘Politics of Debt and Anti-Corruption in Sri Lanka after the People’s Protests in Sri Lanka’.
On 30 July 2026, an informal discussion with Master’s students from the Central Department of International Relations and Diplomacy, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal was held on the ‘Protests and Youth Perspectives on Foreign Policy in Sri Lanka and South Asia’.
