This study maps youth political engagement and mobilisation in Sri Lanka since 2022. It will examine existing reports, studies, media articles, and social media discussions to understand the main drivers for young people to engage with politics and how these dynamics have been affected since the Aragalaya.
Through interviews with experts, youth activists and influencers, as well as focus group discussions with young people in several districts, the study will explore their main concerns and aspirations, the channels and platforms they use to engage in politics, and how their voices and influence can be better incorporated into political processes and decision-making.
